This page describes the Server Operating System preferred by [[start|Merri-bek Tech]]. It is used in the [[Generic Pi Setup]] and elsewhere as applicable. 

The current preferred version is [[https://releases.ubuntu.com/24.04.1/|Ubuntu Server 24.04 LTS (Noble Numbat) (64-bit)]].

Merri-bek Tech uses the most recent LTS (long term support) release of Ubuntu Server.
